The original title of this work was Two Thousand Years Ago: the Adventures of a Roman Boy. In subsequent publications however, the title was changed to Lucius: The Adventures of a Roman Boy, and it is by this latter title that the work is better known.
Since this book was first published before 1923, it is in the public domain in the United States. By U.S. law, it entered the public domain 75 years after its first publication.
